The name
Why Kalpa
A kalpa is a cycle of time in Indian cosmology. Its root means to be arranged, to be made ready, to become. Time, in that sense, is not something that happens to you; it is being ordered, and you can act inside it.
The same root gives sankalpa, the intention spoken before a ritual, and kalpana, imagination. That is the whole idea of the app in one line: stars are data, and you decide.
