Upay
Remedies from your chart, not from a sales script
In jyotish, an upay is a practice that helps you meet a difficult placement with steadiness: a mantra, an act of charity, a fast, a habit. Kalpa suggests upay from the facts of your own kundli, starts with the ones that cost nothing, and explains why each one fits.
Upay are traditional spiritual practices, not medical, legal or financial treatment, and no remedy guarantees an outcome.
Kinds of upay
What a remedy can look like
Mantra
A planet's beej or Vedic mantra, repeated with attention on its day. The simplest and oldest upay.
Daan
Charity connected to the planet: food, cloth or time, given on the right weekday to those who need it.
Vrat
A fast or a simpler meal on a planet's day, practised as discipline rather than punishment.
Seva and conduct
Respect for elders, care for animals, honest dealings. Tradition treats behaviour as the strongest remedy of all.
Pooja and worship
Worship of the deity linked to a planet, at home or in a temple.
Samagri and stones
Items such as a rudraksha, yantra or gemstone, suggested only where a chart supports it, with the reasoning shown.
How Kalpa chooses
From chart fact to practice
- 1
Read the placements
Kalpa looks at the planets that need support in your chart, such as a debilitated planet or a running difficult dasha.
- 2
Choose from a fixed list
Upay come from a closed, reviewed list of traditional remedies, so nothing invented or unsafe is suggested.
- 3
Explain it
Each upay says which planet it is for and why, so you can decide whether it suits you.
The samagri shelf
When you want the physical item
Some upay use samagri: a mala for japa, a diya, a yantra. Kalpa's store lists items matched to each remedy and links you to the seller to buy. You never need to buy anything for a remedy to count, and a guide will never tell you that a purchase will fix your chart.
FAQ
Questions people ask
Do I have to buy something for an upay to work?
No. Most traditional upay are free: mantra, charity, fasting and conduct. Samagri is optional.
Should I wear a gemstone?
Gemstones are a strong traditional remedy and tradition warns against wearing one without checking the full chart. Kalpa only suggests a stone where your chart supports it and explains why.
Can upay cure an illness or fix a legal or money problem?
No. Upay are spiritual practices for steadiness and intention. Please see a doctor, lawyer or financial adviser for those matters.
How are Kalpa's upay chosen?
From the facts of your chart, matched against a reviewed list of traditional remedies. The same chart facts always lead to the same suggestions.
